On optimization of cooperative MIMO for underlaid secrecy Industrial Internet of Things Research Article

Xinyao WANG, Xuyan BAO, Yuzhen HUANG, Zhong ZHENG, Zesong FEI

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2023, Volume 24, Issue 2,   Pages 259-274 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2200188

Abstract: In this paper, techniques are investigated for , which operates as an underlaid cognitive radio system that coexists with a primary user (PU). The underlaid secrecy paradigm is enabled by improving the secrecy rate towards the C-MIMO receiver and reducing the interference towards the PU. Such a communication model is especially suitable for implementing Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) systems in the unlicensed spectrum, which can trade off spectral efficiency and information secrecy. To this end, we propose an (EAP) method and formulate the secrecy rate optimization problem, which is subject to both the single device power constraint and the interference power constraint. This precoder design is enabled by decomposing the original optimization problem into eigenspace selection and power allocation sub-problems. Herein, the eigenvectors are adaptively selected by the transmitter according to the channel conditions of the underlaid users and the PUs. In addition, a simplified EAP method is proposed for large-dimensional C-MIMO transmission, exploiting the additional spatial degree of freedom for a low-complexity secrecy precoder design. Numerical results show that by transmitting signal and artificial noise in the properly selected eigenspace, C-MIMO can eliminate the secrecy outage and outperforms the fixed eigenspace precoding methods. Moreover, the proposed simplified EAP method for the large-dimensional C-MIMO can significantly improve the secrecy rate.

The Difference Effect of Environmental Regulation on Two Stages of Technology Innovation in China’s Manufacturing

Bao-long Yuan,Sheng-gang Ren,Xing Hu,Xuan-yu Yang

Frontiers of Engineering Management 2016, Volume 3, Issue 1,   Pages 24-29 doi: 10.15302/J-FEM-2016007

Abstract: This paper divides technological innovation into two stages: technology development and technology transfer. Then the authors use the panel data of 28 manufacturing industries during 2003–2012 to test the econometric regression model for the industry of the sub stages, which is a regulation on technological innovation in the environment. The results show that: (1) environmental regulation has a significant role in promoting China’s manufacturing technology research patent achievements, and technology into new products, and this indicated that “Porter hypothesis” in the manufacturing sector has been verified; (2) R&D and transfer expenditure have a positive impact on technological innovation. Finally, the authors put forward the corresponding policy recommendations for industry of the environmental regulation on the impact of technological innovation in phases.

Molecular dynamics study of water diffusion in an amphiphilic block copolymer with large difference in

Yang Zhou, Phillip Choi

Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering 2017, Volume 11, Issue 3,   Pages 440-447 doi: 10.1007/s11705-017-1626-2

Abstract: Isothermal-isobaric molecular dynamics simulation was used to study the diffusion mechanism of water in polyurethane- -poly( -isopropyl acrylamide) (PU- -PNIPAm) with a hydrophobic PU/hydrophilic PNIPAm mass ratio of 1.4 to 1 at 298 K and 450 K. Here, the experimental glass transition temperature ( ) of PU is 243 K while that of PNIPAm is 383 K. Different amounts of water up to 15 wt-% were added to PU- -PNIPAm. We were able to reproduce the specific volumes and glass transition temperatures (250 K and 390 K) of PU- -PNIPAm. The computed self-diffusion coefficient of water increased exponentially with increasing water concentration at both temperatures (i.e., following the free volume model of Fujita). It suggested that water diffusion in PU- -PNIPAm depends only on its fractional free volume despite the free volume inhomogeneity. It is noted that at 298 K, PU is rubbery while PNIPAm is glassy. Regardless of temperature, radial distribution functions showed that water formed clusters with sizes in the range of 0.2–0.4 nm in PU- -PNIPAm. At low water concentrations, more clusters were found in the PU domain but at high water concentrations, more in the PNIPAm domain. It is believed that water molecules diffuse as clusters rather than as individual molecules.

Acoustic localization with multi-layer isogradient sound speed profile using TDOA and FDOA Research Article

Dongzhou ZHAN, Sitian WANG, Shougui CAI, Huarong ZHENG, Wen XU,wxu@zju.edu.cn

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2023, Volume 24, Issue 1,   Pages 164-175 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2100398

Abstract: In the underwater medium, the speed of sound varies with water depth, temperature, and salinity. The inhomogeneity of water leads to bending of sound rays, making the existing localization algorithms based on straight-line propagation less precise. To realize high-precision node positioning in s (UASNs), a multi-layer isogradient (SSP) model is developed using the linear segmentation approximation approach. Then, the sound ray tracking problem is converted into a polynomial root-searching problem. Based on the derived gradient of the signal's Doppler shift at the sensor node, a novel underwater node localization algorithm is proposed using both the and . Simulations are implemented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. Compared with the traditional straight-line propagation method, the proposed algorithm can effectively handle the sound ray bending phenomenon. Estimation accuracy with different SSP modeling errors is also investigated. Overall, accurate and reliable node localization can be achieved.
